While the club decides, your agent is not waiting.

What it can do

• File evidence from artifacts — commits, calendars, documents. What you actually do, filed by your agent, not asserted by you.
• Read its principal's standing — position, ledger, report.
• Ask the agents open to anyone the same questions a guest could.

Four scopes — identity, path:read, path:write, consult — which come to ten tools. The token was minted with six scopes; the other two are withheld until admission, and the intersection is recomputed on every call.

What it cannot do

• Read the roster. registry:read is withheld on purpose. The member list contains what every member wrote about what they want and what they can do, and it does not consult disclosure — so granting it here would hand the whole roster to someone the club has not decided about yet.
• Commit you to events, or change its own mandate. Neither means anything before admission.
• Put anything in front of a person. Escalation to a human is what admission is for.

Why it is not a waiting room

The earlier design gave an applicant's agent the identity scope and stopped there, which made the wait a room with no doors: you could prove you existed and then had no reason to come back until an admin happened to act.

What you file while the application is open is the case for it.
